Blankets... blankets...blankets...BLANKETS!

I handed over the lilac and fluffy white edged blanket today, and got a tenner for it. About an hour and a half later I got a call from Merce, the person who'd bought it, and she ordered another one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This time I have to make it in blue... well... I really should learn to say no, lol... I think I've got some black fluffy wool, so I could edge it with black, mmmm. I need to finish Cheryl's bag first before starting another blanket.

We have been watching the snooker, and I'm routing for Ronnie O'Sullivan. He's playing tonight, but my darling other half will have the football on, even though he does like snooker. After the football Justin will be playing his Grand Theft Auto IV game which came today. He and Darryl were tracking their parcels - they both ordered it for the PS3, Darryl got the all singing all dancing package, and Justin just bought the game. They were like a pair of kids thinking that they weren't going to be getting it today. Abby was here too, so she had to suffer most of the day too, lol.

Right, I need to hunt out this black fluffy wool... then I think I'll only have to buy one of those.

A little summery.

Yes, summery, not summary!!
I wore my sandals today!! AND my cropped jeans. Temperatures must be up for me to do that. I wish the weather would warm up for a bit longer, I'm fed up with the cold now.

I must wave to Sheila!!! HELLOOOOOOOOOOOO SHEILA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How often do you read my blog woman??? You can always post a comment under a post if you like chuck. I was thinking about you the other day... when me and another person put "sold" on your for sale sign when you lived in our street... soooo funny, must have been mad - it was around midnight! I'm normally in bed by then nowadays, lol.

I haven't done much today to say anything about... went into town and bought some loose new potatoes, lol...errrr.... I bought two bunches of daffodils for 20p from Sainsbury's along with a £2 bunch to go on my table. I never used to buy flowers at all, but they do set off the new table. The daffs went in the kitchen window.
I crocheted just two rows of Cheryl's black bag today... watched the final episode of Torchwood with Darryl (I'd watched it with Justin, but Darryl hadn't seen it)... did a bit of washing...

Daisy news: I now have TWO!!!

Well... unless I can think of anything else, that's about it... football on the telly tonight, Liverpool v Chelsea.

Oh yes!!! Some excellent news about my ex husband's daughter, Lucy. She is now in remission!!

Decorating finished!! Woohoooo!!

Finally, finished. It's always a relief to get things back to normal. It's taken all week to do it as we have nowhere to move furniture out of the way. We're happy with the result.
Here are before and after photos almost from the same angle.

It was nice having Justin off for the week, even though we didn't do much without either a scraper or a paintbrush in hand. We did go to Subway on Wednesday morning and we had a scrumptious egg, bacon, sausage, melted cheese, and tomato Subway, latte coffee, and a chocolate cookie. Mmmmm, I can taste it now.

Here is a photo of that first daisy that we got on our front lawn... it's still there!!

Last weekend I borrowed a crochet book from a nurse, Natasha. This is the first book that I've actually understood anything it said. Tasha also explained a couple of things as well. So this week I also made a crocheted bag!!! I took it into work and everyone loved it!! But now I want it in black, and bigger. Cheryl also wants one too and she's given me the money for the wool so I'll get that tomorrow, along with Carol's wool that she wants, and my black and cherry red.

Darryl was excited tonight. He subscribes to an American comic/magazine and saw today that they had published a letter that he wrote/emailed to them. I will have to scan it.

DECORATING!

'nuff said.

DAISY!!!!!

I always wanted daisies to grow in my grass like they do in my dad's. Well today, up one sprung!!!! I remember last year taking a few of them from dad's lawn, and sprinkling them into mine, and nothing happened. Well I was so happy today that I'd got one, lol. I shall take a photo of it tomorrow. I might just have to make a scrapbook page out of it.

Matthew went back to school today. He didn't want a sandwich for lunch, instead, he had tuna and pasta, tomato, cucumber, peaches and jelly. When I picked him up he was in a good mood for a change. He had left his tomato and cucumber as they'd gone all soggy because of the sauce. Today I bought him a tiny bottle to put some sauce in, so he can add it to his lunch at lunchtime instead. He ate all his tuna and pasta up, surprising because he said he doesn't like it cold, and he had one of those ice packs in with it.

I actually made a card tonight, I haven't made a card since before Christmas. I watched a little bit of Create and Craft today, because even though we now have Virgin Media and that channel isn't on there, we still have our old satellite box so I plugged that in, lol. It was nice to see the channel again. I need to start scrapbooking and cardmaking again.

I'm still making Lucy's nan a blanket, but my finger joints started hurting, so I think I need a couple of days rest from the repetition. Maybe I'll make another card tomorrow, or maybe an ATC!! I bought some glue runners today in town, some gold and silver card, and a couple of packets of epoxy fairy stickers.

I'm tired now, it's 11.40pm, and Justin is playing Formula 1 on the PS3 online... it will be bedtime soon hopefully.
Night all xx

April already!

And in flew April!
I realised I forgot to say what was actually wrong with Sophie! She had pyometra. She's getting on really well, keeps trying to play with the other dog Abby. She has to go to the vets to be checked over on Friday morning. Her stitches are all fine, but her Addison's disease is playing up, maybe just because of all the stress with her operation.

Here is the blanket that I made for Lucy, and now her Nan wants one as well! It is a lovely pink, not sure if that comes across really on the screen.

Here is a pic of our new table and chairs!! We were missing two certain types of screw, and one of the seat pad frame thingy's was missing two holes where one of the legs are screwed into!! Paul (ex hubby) sent a drill down with David for us to borrow, so we finally got it all sorted out and finished last night. We will be decorating in a couple of weeks, so I'll post an updated photo then.
