Skittles!

Not very sharp... but I loved how the Skittle sweets showed up in the top bubble.
This photo was created by putting the Skittles in a glass, a very scratched cd case on top of the glass and some water drops.

Our Wedding Rings...

Our Wedding Rings.
Both court shape heavy weight rings. Justin's, on the left, is 5mm and weighs 7.8g, and mine is 4mm and weighs 5.4g. They are gorgeous...
They are both engraved inside. Justin's says Roz & Justin Castle 2012, and mine is the same but with Justin's name first...

Here is a macro (extension tube macro) of the engraving on the insides.

We bought these rings from and online company called Bands of Love Click HERE to visit their site. The rings are absolutely gorgeous. When I first looked at the site I thought it was too good to be true, but I then looked at other reviews that weren't on their site and found that it had good recommendations. I am SO glad we bought our rings from this company. Ordered on the 20th and delivered on the 24th! Even with engraving!! They sell lots of other jewellery as well, and we won't hesitate to buy from them again.

Elijah.

And a pic of Justin.
I would walk to the ends of the earth for this man...

Been playing again!

I've been playing around again today with my Canon 400D camera.
I seemed to get better results using the zoom lens - a Canon 55-250mm 1:4-5.6 IS lens.
I love how I captured myself in Matthew's eye, lol.

I bought a couple of gorgeous smelling Yankee Candle tarts today. White Gardenia and Garden Hideaway. I'm buring half of the Garden Hideaway at the moment, it's heavenly! Even Darryl commented when he came round to drop his phone money round on his way to work how lovely it smelled. Might have to buy a few more of that one then.

So what did Thursday bring...

Well, it brought another day to play with my camera!!
I'm not sure why I can't get my images really sharp. I've tried using a tripod, a lens with IS (Image Stabilising) and they're still not perfectly sharp... maybe when I get my new camera and lenses... lol.
Ok, so today's pictures...

This is on my windowsill in the kitchen. The wallflower from yesterday's picture.

This is from the bouquet of flowers that were from Primrose Hill Care Home.

This sprig I stole from a tree a couple of doors down, lol.

Some of our wallflowers in a tub in the garden.

Aside from flowers. I got chatting to someone I used to chat to ages ago about photography. Tracey. She has done really well with her photography and now makes a living from it. Well done to her!
Matthew has watched the film Hop today, and played outside from time to time on his new bike.
Justin is going to play golf after work tonight with his workmates. It's strange him not coming home for dinner...

Just playing...

With my camera.
I took this photo of a wallflower I cut from the garden, and played with a couple of textures. I'm no where near the standard of my cousin Mandy Disher...

...but I have fun. I do love my camera, but I'm looking at buying a Canon 60D...

Just to please Uncle Dave coz he SO loves looking at my crafty things lol...
I also made two scrapbook pages today, these photo's were taken with my iphone though, so not quite as clear.

I'm so excited that I'm finally acquiring Justin as my husband, lol. We were looking at various wedding ring shops online last night. I have my mum's wedding ring on my right hand. I showed the jeweller up town today, she said it was a fantastic ring. 22ct and is very heavy.
Anyway... we were happily looking at rings, and have both decided on 9ct court rings... then the phone rang. It was Justin's dad to tell him that his grandad had died.

Picture heavy and some good news!

Here are some photo's taken of us on the morning of my dad's funeral. The funeral service was lovely. We sang the hymns Sun of My Soul and The Day Thou Gavest, and the choir sang Be Still My Soul. At the end of the service, the choir left their stalls and stood either side of the back door exit in a final farewell to my dad, who was a member of the choir for over 40 years.

  Abby and myself.

Me with my two gorgeous boys - Darryl (23), and Matthew (11).

 Darryl and his partner Abby.

 My three men x.

 Justin and me...

The centre piece of the flowers from the cross from us.

The cross and two other wreaths.

The following photo's are some that I took of Matthew yesterday.
The news is at the bottom of these photo's.

The following two I just changed to monochrome. I like them!

So... the news. Justin FINALLY asked me to marry him!!! We've only been together for 13 years after all, lol. So... the marriage will be on June 8th with just five of us present, me and Justin of course, Darryl, Abby, Matthew, and Elijah.
